I am a big fan of Mark Batterson’s books, so naturally I was excited when I saw him at Catalyst in Atlanta this year talking about his newest book, “Primal”. And, like always, his writing exceeded my expectations. If you read one Christian book in 2010, you owe it to yourself to make sure it’s “Primal”. At a time of great unrest in our country, “Primal” helps remind us of the God that blew our minds however long ago. As we put on our Sunday smiles and pat ourselves on the backs for giving God his weekly nod, quite often we are missing IT…and “Primal” seeks to take you back to the IT at the heart of Christianity.

In “Primal”, Batterson uses his conversational style along with historical and personal stories to peel back the layers of tradition and uncover the “lost soul of Christianity”.
